Nintendo DSi
Posted in Uncategorized at 10:06 am |

The DSi is a handheld unit launched by Nintendo, the creator of the famous Gameboy and the Nintendo Wii consoles. Built on its progenitor the Nintendo DS, the DSi comes with lots of distinctive features which really set it apart from the rest of the group. The DSi white sold over 100K units in the UK in its opening weekend making it the 4th biggest selling console in recent times. More lately sales have been reported to be at 140,000 boxes per week with a steady growth in demand. This is not at all surprising, for a console that comes packed with so many exciting features. The DSi white faces big challengers including the white PSP and the white PSP Go:

- Superb design lets your enjoy all your games while on the move. - Twin touch screen. Now enjoy two perspectives of the game, one on the top and the other beside the controls. - Voice recognition. - Wi-Fi. - A strong processor that runs at 2 times the speed of its precedent and four times the memory. - Advanced music and sound capabilities. - 2 built in cameras, one on the back and the other within, facing the user. - SD Card slot for expanded storage. - Direct download of games from the online DSi Shop. - Built in DSi net browser. - PictoChat lets you draw photographs with the stylus and mail to mates. - Connect with mates via the Wi-Fi to play multiplayer games. - Motion activated gaming via the built in cameras. - SD Card support up 32 GB.

Gaming fans can ultimately get liberty from wired consoles with little mobility. The DSi not only supports almost all of the games from the DS Lite but is also more comfortable and easy to handle.

The Nintendo DSi White is a pleasant step in the evolution of Nintendo’s handheld. It’s got a lot of new features that can go a long way. Even DS Lite owners might wish to consider updating at some point, but it stands : if you’re happy with your DS Lite or original DS you don’t have to get it. It’s definitely worth considering, though.

In the final analysis some may ponder whether the upgrade is worth it. It’s a little costlier than the DS Lite and doesn’t have a GBA slot and a shorter battery life. However you are getting some nice additional features, and with Nintendo planning to implement them in some of their games in the future, it’s at least worth consideration. DS Lite owners may not have to upgrade instantly, but in the future it may be worth considering. If you do not own a DS at all, the DSi is probably the best shot.

If you’re still stuck with clumsy games machines that seem to bind you down, it is time to switch over to the next generation console the DSi from Nintendo.
