Sean King on Taiwan and Obama
Posted in Doing Commerce, History Hall, Support at 12:26 am |

Sean King, current Park Strategies vice president, echoed the sentiments of many Taiwanese by expressing his concerns about Barack Obama’s plans about the United States military support for the island of Taiwan. President Barack Obama has kept many Taiwanese in an anxious state by having them wait for his plans regarding this sensitive issue. Since Taiwan’s de facto independence from mainland China depends mainly on the support of the United States, the Taiwanese have been keenly waiting for whatever developments may come out of this political shift.

The United State has promised to give its assistance in terms of arms and training to Taiwan in order to keep any signs of Chinese aggression at bay. Even if there is a little bit of uneasiness or uncertainty, the Taiwanese people perceive Obama’s victory as a mark of equality of opportunity.

As for Sean King, he has conveyed his sentiments about Obama being a little bit indifferent to the perils facing the free world.

Currently, Sean King serves as the vice president of Park Strategies. Founded by former Senator Alfonse D’Amato and based in New York, the firm deals with providing business and government advice while also functioning as a lobbying firm. Sean King’s specialty in the field of commerce has led him to become responsible for developing the firm’s business transactions with Taiwan, as well as with other Asian countries.
